Peanut butter and chocolate cubes

Somebody requested for my version of peanut butter and chocolate candy so here you go:

Ingredients:
1. 1 cup butter, melted
2. 2 cups cream cracker crumbs
3. 1 and 1/2 cups icing sugar
4. 1 cup peanut butter
5. 1 and 1/2 cup baking chocolate
6. 4 tablespoons peanut butter

Mix butter, cream cracker crumbs, icing sugar and 1 cup peanut butter until well blended. Press evenly to the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 inch pan.

Melt chocolate with peanut butter over slow heat until smooth. Spread over the first layer of peanut butter and refrigerate for 1 hour prior to cutting.

Done.

Easy, right?

Forget about your diet and enjoy.

p/s 1 cup butter = 225 grams

Tomato Fried Rice

For this simple dish, youwill need
1. 1 carrot (diced)
2. 2 pieces of garlic (finely minced)
3. 2 sausages (sliced)
4. Mushroom (sliced)
5. 1 nice juicy red tomato (diced)
6. 2 eggs

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in wok. Fry garlic, carrots and sausages.

Add leftover rice (mine has been in the fridge for many nights)

Be sure to break up the rice. Add mushrooms.

Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of soya sauce for color and pinch of salt to taste.
Stir and mix well.

In the center of the wok, crack 2 eggs and let it cook.
Do not disurbed or else you will get goey fried rice.

Fold egg and fried rice slowly, allowing time for eggs to cook properly.
Add tomato only when nearly done.
Remember, tomatoes get wetter the longer you cook them.

Dish up and serve hot.
Enough for 2 persons
(which I managed to finish up all by myself in one meal).

I've omitted ketchup but you can add 2 tablespoons if you fancy a tangier taste to your fried rice. Fresh tomatoes are better though.

Cat on Red Carpet

These few days, Kutucat's taken a liking to sleeping on the red rug.
(As opposed to sharing the bed with me)

I read that when cats sleep exposing their soft
underbelly, it means they feel safe.
I'm glad she likes the new place :)

The Praying Mantis Stance.
p/s Did you know that cats have 4-5 pairs of tits?

Naughty Girl!!!!

Kutucat gave me a big fright just now. She jumped out of the window onto the ledge - on the 15th floor - to catch birds.

I am half convinced that the birds intentionally lured her out of the window with their loud twittering. You know, the "let's get rid of the puddy-tat" plot.

Knowing how she can be clumsy sometimes, my only hope was blind faith that she would not take a flying leap and plunge to her demise in her great aspiration to catch a mocking bird.

I had to yank her by the scruff of her neck and haul her back to safety. Hell, if that failed I would have had to go onto the ledge myself to rescue her. As I shudder at the recollection of events, she is currently sprawled on the rug having a good snore.

Bad kitty! You almost gave me a heart attack! *shakes head*

Freaking Out at the Vet

So today the cat went for her annual vaccination.
Every visit is a traumatic experience, for her and the vet. Last year, she was forced to wear a straight jacket for everyone's safety.

This year, she drew blood from an attendant who had to be taken to a hospital to receive a jab himself.

I also booked her for a grooming session - haircut, ear cleaning and nail trimming - during which her wrath was invoked.

They probably overcharged us on the bill but I was too embarrased to pursue the matter.

Kissaten

Located at Jaya One, Petaling Jaya

Bittergourd and cucumber shake.
The other one is cucumber and lychee which I strongly recommend.
RM8.90 each

Absolutely refreshing and none of that diluted nonsense
served by some establishments.

Stuffed Gyoza Wings. RM8.90
Comes in servings for three, love love love the crispy skin!

The contents of the stuffing are a mystery to me.
Tasted herb-like. Goes very well with the sauce that came with the dish.

Crispy Fuchuk (Damn forgot to note down the price)

Mum says it is the best fuchuk she's every tasted.
Better than the ones at Little Penang.

Main course: Salmon Cream Pizza
RM22.90
Looks very cheesy doesn't it but actually it's just the right taste!

No cloying mayonnaise, every slice comes with
a good chunk of salmon fillet.
We were very full already but we finished the whole plate.

Dessert was chilled Azuki Pumpkin Zenza
RM 7.90
The glutinous balls did not impress me, but digging deeper we
found rich red bean paste. By mixing with a dollop of pumpkin
and red bean it becomes a great combination.

Sigh... I've gone and made myself hungry writing this post.
